Sudden pain of pregnant women
Know that something will happen does not mean being prepared for it. During nine months the mother dreams of "that" day, but when it comes not all are ready for what lies ahead.
This image of life, Paul takes to print the strongest idea in the minds of those Christians. Many knew about the second coming of Christ, but it could be that, despite such knowledge, no one was ready for it. It is the intent of these words printed on a sense of seriousness to what is a safe event for the future but many have overlooked.
There are several nuances that this issue presents. For my part I will refer to "save always saved" or not, because if you believe in one or another, both are in agreement with the need to be prepared for this event. Nor do I refer to the times of events as it believes that some of them occur before, during or after the great tribulation, we all agree on the need to be prepared for that purpose.
In other words, do not address the issues that have brought much discussion but I will focus on what we all agree: the need for "ensuring" in our present in light of the events revealed in the future.
Paul told the Thessalonians: DHH 1TS 5:2-3 You know very well that the day of the return of the Lord will come when you least expect, like a thief who comes at night. (3) When people say: "Everything is peaceful and quiet, then suddenly come upon them the destruction, as we come to the pains of a woman who is pregnant and can not escape.
Some believe that this "day of the Lord's return" more than 24 hours a day represents a period of time beginning with the rapture of the Church and ends seven years after the battle of Armageddon and the trial of nations, which government started the Millennial Christ on earth.
That is why Paul refers to the abduction and the destruction and view it as an event even if there is no abduction and the destruction inversa.1Ts DHH 4:15-5:4 For this we say to you, such as teaching Lord, that we who remain alive until the coming of the Lord, we do not anticipate those who died. (16) Because he heard a commanding voice, the voice of an archangel and the sound of the trumpet of God, the Lord himself will drop cielo.Y of those who died believing in Christ shall rise first; (17) then the which we live have been brought together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air and be with the Lord forever. (18) are encouraged, therefore each other with these words. (5:1) As for the dates and times, brothers, do not require you to write. (2) You know very well that the day of the return of the Lord will come when you least expect, like a thief who comes at night. (3) When people say: "Everything is peaceful and quiet, then suddenly come upon them the destruction, as we come to the pains of a woman who is pregnant and can not escape. (4) But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that the day of the surprise return of the Lord as a thief.
As a Church we should not concern the effects of this "sudden destruction" but rather the abduction of the same. Is highly expected and announced, but before this, not all are ready.
What are the ads in the New Testament about this?
In addition to what Paul reveals, other parts of the Bible says: Acts 1:11 Then those two TLA told them: 'Men of Galilee, what do they do there, staring at the sky? I just saw that Jesus was taken to heaven, but as has ido, one day again. "
Heb 9:28 TLA .... Christ was offered once to many that we are forgiven of our sins. Afterwards he will return again to the world, but not to die for our sins, but to save all those who await his coming.
There is always a purpose in the words of the Bible and of these ads we can understand this: 1Jn 2:28 RV60 And now, little children, abide in him, so when they show, have confidence, so that we are not coming away ashamed of it.
Not everyone will experience the Rapture. Those not prepared for that day of glory for many, will suffer the confusion and shame of not being part of that experience. Hence the sense of announcing it, and thus the meaning of these palabras.1Ts TLA 5:6-9 Therefore we must remain alert and to live properly, and not as carefree as some living. (7) Those living sinning and get drunk and not worry about the return of the Lord Jesus, actually living in the dark. (8) But we do not live in darkness, but light. We must be vigilant and to trust in God and love everyone. Our trust and our love of sin can protect us like armor! And if you do not ever doubt our salvation, that will protect us as a safety helmet. (9) For God has called us not to punish, but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.
The key words here are "be prepared". Therefore, the question is: what are you?.
Is that this message is not new, and in the early years of the Christian faith, the church was called for. But why has not lost validity as some creen.El apostle Peter said: 2Pe 3:3-15 TLA First, take into account that in recent days, some who will only think of his evil desires. Make fun of you (4) and they ask: 'What happened to the promise that Jesus would return? And our fathers died, everything is as it was when the world was created !»... (8) .... do not forget that, for the Lord a day is like a thousand years and a thousand years are like a day. (9) is that God is not slow to fulfill his promise, as some think. What happens is that God has patience with you because he does not want anyone to die, but they all obey him again. (10) But when Jesus comes, will come as a thief when entering a house to steal. On that day, the heavens will disappear in the midst of a dreadful noise, the stars will be destroyed by fire, and earth and everything in it will disappear. ... (14) Therefore, dear friends, while waiting for that to happen, make every effort to be at peace with God, and because he is sinless. (15) Remember that our Lord Jesus Christ we are treated with patience, so we must be saved. And our dear comrade Paul has written about this, and it was God himself who said it.
It is not my intention here to defend a theological position or another, simply to appeal to the reality that many know but which might have overlooked.
I conclude with the words of the gospel and what it says of them: Luc 21:34-36 DHH "Be careful not to let their hearts become insensitive to the vices, drunkenness and the worries of this life, that that day suddenly falling on you (35) as a trap. I will come upon all the inhabitants of the earth. (36) Are you ready to pray at all times, so they can escape all these things will happen and to be filed before the Son of man. "
"Our danger is that it occurs on the day of the trial and death when we're not ready. Is not that when we are called to meet with our Lord, it should be closer to our hearts what it is farther from our thoughts . That's how it will be for most men who inhabit the earth and think that only earthly things and have no communication with the sky. It is terror and destruction to them.
Here we see that we should be looking to be held worthy to escape all these things, so when the judgments of God are everywhere, we are not in the common calamity, or one that is not what it is for us to others. Will wonders how it can be found worthy to appear before Christ in that day? Those who have never sought to Christ, which now goes to Him, who have never been humiliated for their sins, starting now, those who have already begun, to continue and kept humble. Therefore, candle and pray always. Be vigilant against sin; alert duty at all, and making the most of every opportunity to do good. Ora always be regarded as worthy of living a life of praise in the other world they live a life of prayer in this world. Let us begin, employees and conclude each day according to the word of Christ, obeying its precepts, and following his example, that when He comes to us to ensure we found. "Commentary Matthew Henry, Lc.21 :29-38
